"Refugees are you and I with different circumstances" by Elisa Johnston
RIM's Metro North Cluster of volunteers is currently serving a family of five, and two additional individual clients, all seeking asylum and a new life here in our local community. The support we provide includes food, housing in apartments or host homes, transportation, community support, and friendship.
For a second year we are not walking as a large group because of the Covid-19 pandemic, but rather are walking 5K individually, with a partner or in small groups at a time and pIace of our choice. I am choosing to walk around Lake Quannapowitt on June 20th in celebration of World Refugee Day which salutes the courage of uprooted individuals and families worldwide.
Your donation helps provide resources for asylum seekers resettling in this area to start a new and safe life, free from persecution. Thank you for your help!
